Dear Neighbor,
Over the last four years, we've gotten a lot done. We've:
- Delivered multiple budget surpluses through smart financial management
- Begun construction on the long-awaited ferry plaza landside project
- Invested millions to repair our roads and committed $24 million to upgrading infrastructure over the next eight years (click here to see roads slated to be repaired just next year!)
But we can do so much more.
The choice in this election is about real solutions.
Sausalito has underinvested in our infrastructure for decades. Some say as much as $100 million!
But some candidates' only solution are small cuts like closing our art center or canceling fireworks.
Such cuts will make Sausalito culturally poorer without doing anything to generate the tens of millions we need to address decades of underinvestment.
Austerity is not a real solution to our infrastructure problem.
We can fix our potholes and generate an infrastructure renaissance by you voting for me and other candidates who support a set of policies that encourage economic activity. With more economic activity, we can generate millions more every year without raising taxes!
The Marin IJ editorial board conducted a lengthy assessment process and endorsed the three candidates below.
They went on to say "Sobieski is a Problem Solver". That's part of why I have been endorsed by 12 former Sausalito mayors and Councilmembers and the Sierra Club.
